Gay Wexford announce their A.G.M 2011

The committee of Gay Wexford would like to announce their A.G.M as agreed during the summer.

This is to elect the a new committee in as the current committee has been acting on a temporary bases. Their are two types of committee places up for election they are:

•    Chairperson
•    General committee member (currently there are five places )

The position of youth officer is not open due to the creation of a new youth service .

If you would like to run for a position on the committee please send your name and contact info to gaywexford@gmail.com so the election ballot may be prepared N.B you must be present at the A.G.M to run for a committee position.

The election will be done by way of a secret ballot  and the A.G.M will be chaired by a neutral party.

It is advised to have a short piece on why you would like to be on the comitte prepared for the night as if there is more than one candidate you may be required to say why you would like the position.

The date of the AGM is the 16th of November
in Central Station (formerly La Speranza) Whites Hotel, Main Street

Hi all.

The Drum Youth Centre is hosting its first ever fun run on Sunday the 2nd of October in Kilkenny Castle Park . The 5 k run

is a fun afternoon for people of all ages with childrens entertainment provided. Registration is available on the day also from 10.30am with the run beginning at 12 noon. Entry is 5 euro only per person. So please come along and bring friends and family

Hey all … so Thursday (13th) will be a great day for the lgbt society. I am urging you all to wear purple on the day to show your support for all those that have suffered from homophobic bullying. At 12pm on the college street campus we will be holding a balloon release to remember all those that took their lives as a result of homophobic bullying. We would love to have as many of you there as possible to support the campaign.

And not to forget we have our meet and greet in dignity bar at 8pm 🙂
