Official Launch

Official-LaunchThe official launch for Waterford Pride Mardi Gras moves to a new location in the city’s brand new Medieval Museum which opened last summer. Located in the wonderful Viking Triangle and next to The Bishop’s Palace and Christ Church Cathedral, the museum is the perfect location to get our festival underway.

Relaxation Evening

Relaxation-EveningThe relaxation evening returns this year with thanks to sOUTh. Avail of a wide range of free therapies including acupuncture, massage and card reading. Mardi Gras Cup

MardiGrasCup-The Mardi Gras Cup is a 5-a-Side soccer tournament taking place in the run up to Waterford Pride Mardi Gras! Games take place every Tuesday at 9pm in the Waterford Crystal Sports Hall. Enter your team or just yourself now at info@waterfordpride.com. Final date for entry is April 26th.

The top 2 teams will play off in the final on Tuesday 28th of May.

 

 

Ms Gay Waterford

Ms-Gay-WaterfordWaterford was the location of the first ever Ms Gay Ireland in 2010 and we’re proud that we’re now crowning our 4th Ms Gay Waterford to follow in the footsteps of Sinead Flynn, Aisling O’Meara and Christina Fitzharris. DJ Shaz will be taking to the decks following the competition for Ladies Night. We’ll also be joined by reigning Ms Gay Ireland Catriona McCaughley.

Live-LoungeSit back, relax and enjoy the vocal stylings of Dignity’s competition winners from the past 5 years! They overcame weeks of pressure to claim their crowns and now they return to do what they do best – perform! Our very own Beat 102 103 radiostar Joanna Ryde will be hosting with original Live Lounge star Roxxi Sparks so expect lots of laughs and little bit of spontaneity.

Mardi Gras Parade

ParadeWe’re bringing a little bit of New Orleans to the South East of Ireland with the country’s first Mardi Gras Parade! This goes beyond being proud. This is about being part of the wider community and creating an event that everyone in the city can relate to. The parade begins at The Plaza and travels along The Mall and Parnell Street onto John Street. Assemble at 3pm.
