It’s running right NOW, with a parade in Sligo on August 11th and a beach barbecue in lovely Strandhill the following day, amongst other events.

Established in 2006, NW Pride has gained a reputation as a great value, community-oriented get-together and attracts visitors from all over the country and further afield. Well worth a visit for anyone who can manage the short notice.

Wednesday 8th August [LEITRIM]

FULL SPECTRUM INCLUSION FORUM, An opportunity to experience the range and diversity that makes up the LGBT community. You’re invited to take part in exploring ways of increasing inclusion for people with disabilities, Trans people and asylum seekers in LGBT groups and activities in the North West. Full Spectrum is an opportunity for people & groups representing minority groupings to have their voices, experiences and needs heard and understood by the LGBT community.

Following on from our chaotic and entertaining table quiz of last year, this year’s quiz will be presented in such a way that Deaf participants can join in the fun! Large print questions will also be available. Show off your brain power and win fabulous prizes!

7th Northwest LGBT Pride Parade Saturday 11 August 2012. Assemble 2pm outside City Hall, Quay Street, Sligo for fun and games. Parade leaves City Hall 3pm sharp!

Double the Party, Double the Pride!

You can make the best of both tonight with two parties in the one venue. The Swan Suite features the startlingly lovely Donegal Divas and rising star Adam Tyler (fresh from London Pride and ready to rock!). MC Ms. Claudia Shifter will keep you well informed and performances will be followed by Pride favourite DJ Proud Mary. Meanwhile in the View Bar, our Acoustic Space will feature short performances from local talent with an Open Mike slot for the brave amongst you. Music & spoken word very welcome!

Beach BBQ & Sandgames

Our traditional seaside day out (whatever the weather!) – this year to Strandhill, where we may see some of the Wet & Wild boys in Action…bring your bucket and spade and join in the beach games – wellie throwing, beach boules and other entertainments. Don’t forget r sunscreen!
